The complete journey from application to owning your motorcycle.
1. Application ONLINE
Submit the short application on our website in about two minutes — just your name, contact details, district, preferred branch and motorcycle preference.
2. Telephone confirmation ONLINE
A Baikal financing officer calls or messages you to confirm your details and explain the next steps.
3. Verification BRANCH
Your National ID, NIN, boda stage or income evidence, and guarantor details are verified. This usually requires a branch visit.
4. Affordability assessment ONLINE
Baikal assesses your ability to comfortably manage weekly repayments based on your income.
5. CRB check ONLINE
A Credit Reference Bureau check is carried out as part of your assessment, with your consent.
6. Guarantor verification BRANCH
Your guarantor's identification and consent are verified, typically in person at a branch.
7. Motorcycle selection BRANCH
Once approved, you select from the available petrol or electric motorcycles at your branch.
8. Deposit BRANCH
You pay the approved deposit at your branch or via the confirmed payment method.
9. Contract review BRANCH
You review and sign the financing agreement in person, with every term explained clearly beforehand.
10. Motorcycle collection BRANCH
You collect your motorcycle and sign the Takeover Certificate confirming its condition.
11. Weekly payments ONLINE
Pay weekly via Airtel Money, MTN Mobile Money or USSD, and track your balance through the Baikal system.
12. Final ownership process BRANCH
Once repayment and ownership conditions are complete, Baikal arranges transfer of the logbook into your name.
