How boda boda weekly payments work

Baikal calculates weekly payments on a reducing (declining) balance basis. That means interest is charged only on what you still owe — as your balance goes down, so does the interest portion of each payment.

Why weekly, not monthly?

Boda income is typically earned daily and weekly, not monthly. Weekly repayments are designed to match that rhythm, so each instalment is a manageable slice of what you're already earning, rather than one large lump sum at month-end.

What if I miss a payment?

A daily penalty applies on any overdue amount. If you're at risk of missing a payment, contact your branch before the due date — see our guide on managing boda income and weekly repayments.
