Documents required for boda financing
Having everything ready before your branch visit is the single biggest thing you can do to speed up your application.
For you, the applicant
- National ID with a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- A working mobile phone with an active Mobile Money number
- Evidence of your boda stage membership, or a clear account of your income plan if you're a first-time rider
- Any additional documentation requested during your specific verification
For your guarantor
- National ID with a valid NIN
- A working phone number, since your guarantor may be contacted if you become unreachable
- Willingness to be present (in person or by phone) for verification
What you don't need on day one
You don't need your full financial records or extensive paperwork just to start. Our online application only asks for your name, contact details, district, preferred branch and motorcycle preference โ the fuller identity and guarantor verification happens once a financing officer is working with you directly.
A simple checklist to bring to your branch visit
- Your original National ID (plus a photocopy if you have one)
- Your guarantor's original National ID
- Your approved deposit amount, or proof of savings towards it
- Your phone, so you can complete any Mobile Money steps on the spot
